Dr. Forrest C. Shaklee developed the world first multivitamin, multimineral supplement – Vitalized Minerals.

1956

Shaklee introduced Basic-H® Concentrated Organic Cleaner, which is the first non-toxic and biodegradable multi-purpose cleaner in the world.

Shaklee introduced Instant Protein, one of the first soy protein isolate in the world.

Shaklee introduced one of the first biodegradable laundry detergents in the world, which contains no phosphate, nitrate and borate.

Shaklee listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Shaklee introduced the first plant-based sustained release delivery system for Vitamin C.

Shaklee became a Fortune 500 company.

1983
First American to conquered Mt. Everest without supplemental oxygen was powered by Shaklee nutrition.

First non-stop flight around the world on the Voyager was powered by Shaklee nutrition.

Shaklee provided financial and nutrition support for the first recorded, unsupported expedition to the North Pole by dog sled, led by National Geographic award-winning polar explorer, author and educator, Will Steger.

Shaklee was selected by Jacques Cousteau and the Cousteau Society to provide the environmentally friendly cleaning products for use onboard their research vessels, the Calypso and Alcyone.

Daedalus Project, the longest human powered flight across the Aegean Sea, was powered by Shaklee Performance.

Shaklee helped to built schools and health clinics and planted more than one million trees in Asia through a partnership with the American Himalayan Foundation, an organization chaired by Sir Edmund Hillary.

Shaklee provided financial and nutrition support for the trans-Antarctica expedition led by Will Steger, the first crossing of Antarctica on foot, covering 3700 miles.

Shaklee started to provide NASA astronauts a customized rehydration beverage, AstroAide.

Shaklee provided financial and nutrition support for the third International Arctic Project led by Will Steger, the first surface crossing of the 2500 mile wide Arctic Ocean.

Shaklee powered world class athletes won 8 gold medals in Atlanta Olympics.

Shaklee introduced the nutrition-based skin care lines, supported by 8 patterns and a million dollars in clinical studies.

Shaklee became the first company in the world to obtain the Climate Neutral™ certification, which certified that Shaklee totally offset its CO2 emissions, resulting in net zero impact on the environment.

Shaklee opened its green, energy-saving and award-winning World Headquarters building in Pleasanton, California.

Shaklee received the Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Protection Award.

Shaklee supported the construction of an energy efficient turbine for Native Americans. Shaklee also helped to convert the diesel school buses in San Bernardino, CA to biodiesel school buses.

Roger Barnett became the Chairman and CEO of Shaklee.

2004
Shaklee powered world class athletes won 15 gold medals in Athens Olympics.

2005
Shaklee introduced NutriFeron®.

2006
Dr. Wangari Maathai, 2004 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, became the Global Ambassador for A Million Tree A Million Dreams™ campaign.

Shaklee powered US Ski Team and Snowboarding Team won 10 medals in Torino Winter Olympics.

Shaklee held the first ever carbon neutral conference in San Francisco.

Shaklee was selected as the US EPA Climate Leader, pledging to maintain a net zero impact on climate change and offset 100% of its greenhouse gas emissions through 2009.

Shaklee is commended by Bill Clinton and recognized at the Clinton Global Initiative for its leadership in offsetting carbon emissions by creating renewable energy in Africa.

Shaklee introduced the revolutionary weight management line called Cinch™ and non-toxic and natural home care line called Get Clean™.

Shaklee became the first company in the world to offset its carbon emissions by providing sustainable energy to villages in Africa in partnership with Millennium Promise.
